05 September, 2021

Mohammed Alabdullah has been the first student to graduate from Advanced Catalytic Materials group.

Recently, he successfully defended his thesis entitled 'Single-Step Conversion of Crude Oil to Petrochemicals using a Multi-Zone Reactor: Reactor Design and Catalysts' , under the supervision of Prof. Jorge Gascon.

Alabdullah obtained his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in May 2013. Directly after his graduation from KFUPM, he then joined Saudi Aramco's Research & Development Center in Dhahran as a research engineer, where he worked on an upgrading and refining-related project.

His research interests focus on designing a reactor for crude oil conversion and formulating a catalyst for industrial applications. As a member of ACM, he worked on a project to convert crude oil into valuable chemicals and products.

Congratulations Dr. Alabdullah on your accomplishment!
